RESUMÉ.
An energy engineer by training, I now focus on climate and energy policy and governance. During my Ph.D. and later work, I generated knowledge for policy-support, developed a profound understanding of the policy-making process, and presented my own and other findings to diverse and international audiences. Now, I am looking to contribute to the development and implementation of policies that can drive effective and equitable responses to challenges in energy, climate change, and sustainable development.

While working towards the MSc in Global Governance & Ethics at University College London, I was External Relations officer of the GGE Society, part of UCL’s Global Governance Institute.
I organized the end-of-year event, which included speakers like Jos Delbeke (former DG CLIMA) and prof. Mariana Mazzucato.
Co-founded this climate change-related NGO in 2017 that allows private individuals to calculate their greenhouse gas emissions, gives insight in how to reduce them, and offers the possibility to compensate them via voluntary emission reduction certificates.
EnergyVille is a collaboration between world leading academic and industrial energy actors, including KU Leuven and imec.
Here, I performed my own research, collaborated across institutes, presented research findings to different stakeholders, guided PhD students and raised 2 million € in funding.
The Electa research group, of the Department of Electrical Engineering, focusses on the development of future energy systems. Here, I studied the impact on long-term energy system investment of integrating variable renewable energy sources.
